New note cards

Forgot to mention these new Poppy Seeds note cards of mine are also in the latest Phoenix Trading release.  They are 5" x 7", are printed on matt textured board and come in packs of ten with manilla envelopes (code M101).  They are priced at £4 and the versatile design means they could be used for any number of occasions, so much nicer than receiving a text or email.

1st March - new product release day

Today Phoenix Trading launched their Spring range of products with two of my new cards on the cover of the supplement.

The 30 and 40, 6" x 6" cards, are die-cut with a coloured background with fun matching spotty envelopes.  They are hopefully the first of two in a range of different age designs to follow.

I have also designed a range of products featuring jugs, vases, plates and tea pots, collectively titled 'Ceramics'. This card is on matt textured board with embossed images.

It is also available as a wrapping paper with the jug of anemones as the gift tag.

Last but not least is this charming jotter pad, a product I haven't designed before.

My cards in Cambridge Contemporary Crafts

Here's a nice image of my new 'With Love' cards on display in Cambridge Contemporary Crafts, nestled amongst some other very nice designs.

Hand-printed cards

I delivered some more of my hand-printed cards to Cambridge Contemporary Crafts today as the first batch sold out very quickly.  They are very time consuming to print but I love the fact that they are all slightly different.  I use rubber stamps that I have hand carved and ink them up individually to create the design.  I particularly like the new With Love design, just in time for Valentines Day.

Writng Set

First new product of the year published by Phoenix Trading.  It's actually an old design that's been repackaged in a fancy new folder.  You get 20 sheets of A5 paper and 10 matching envelopes for £4.50.  There's nothing nicer than receiving a proper letter in the post - email just isn't the same.  So dust off your fountain pen and write someone a letter this month!

Happy New Year

It's the start of a new year, with lots of creative potential ahead...but first to tidy up my working space which has become a dumping ground for piles of paper, the recently taken down Christmas decorations and old photograph albums which I have started to scan for a digital project for next year.

Things I know about so far for 2014 are Cambridge Open Studios in July.  I am very excited to be part of the Cambridge Original Printmakers show at the end of September and hopefully the very enjoyable Cambridge Christmas Show will be returning in November.  I will also be continuing to design for Phoenix Trading and I'd love to do some more card designs for Green Pebble.

Printed Tree Decorations

I made a few of these for the Christmas Show last year and they sold out in a flash, so I've made a few more for Cambridge Christmas on Monday 25th November.  I particularly like the new birds and stars and hope I have enough to last as we are open for longer this year from 1pm - 8:30pm.  They are made my painting birch wood shapes and then hand-printing them with my own carved rubber stamps.  Then I varnish them and hang them with festive silver twine.
